Turtles - Ikelite

Crash

This turtle crash landed on the corals we are all so careful to not touch. There is no point in swimming after turtles of any size (I think) because you will always get a tail shot, the turtle will look like a football, and you'll use a bunch of air. If you see them resting or eating that changes everything. An old spearfishing trick was to deny eye contact after you've spotted your fish, with turtles I find that if you approach low and slowly, pausing and acting disinterested they will stay put more. I avoid eye contact until I'm looking through the lens and never swim directly at them.
