Oceanic White tip Shark at dusk
The Red Sea is the only place I have seen Oceanic White tips. Go out at dusk and they will find you.. they behave nothing like the reef sharks I've seen for years. They are bold, unafraid, and often come up to you in a pair out of nowhere. Best practice is to face them, keep eye contact, and don't surface until you are at the ladder ready to get out. Their confidence gives them a beauty that only pelagic animals have.. it's the way they carry themselves. You don't chum the water for these guys, they are curious.
